TAMPA -- Two more people have been arrested and charged with attempted murder in the shooting of Henry T. Chriss.
Chriss, 23, became a target of his suspects after he loaned $150 to a man to help him buy drugs, according to sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter.
Chriss hounded Michael Anthony Lopes (left in photos), 18, with numerous phone calls asking for his drugs or money back, deputies say. Agitated, Lopes arranged with two others -- Holly Ann Courcelle, 18, and Jason Ray Flores (right in photos), 21 -- to have Chriss killed, deputies say.
Courcelle and Chriss met at Sligh Avenue near Harney Road on July 6 at 12:30 a.m. When Chriss got there in his 1999 Ford Explorer, Courcelle and Flores were in another vehicle. They spoke briefly before Flores fired 13 to 15 shots at Chriss' Explorer, officials said.
One of the bullets hit Chriss' side and struck his spine. He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital, from which he has since been released. For the Times' original story on Courcelle's arrest in the incident, click here.
Courcelle, of Plant City, was arrested Wednesday. Flores and Lopes, both of Tampa, were each charged today. All are being held without bail.
